A) Naked Detective - In the great tradition of Cagney, Bogie and Wiley Coyote, here's Ken's great "death Scene" from "Naked Detective".
B) Broadcast Bombshells

"Rock & Roll is Dead: Trust Me..."
Or so proclaims NY radio personality Ken Dashow in his one man, Off-Broadway satiric show, which recently enjoyed an extended run at the SoHo Playhouse on Varick Street. Not only did the show build a strong word-of-mouth following, but Ken also drew strong notices ranging from the Daily News to the NY Post!.
In "Rock is Dead...", Ken uses a mixture of monologue and song parodies to take aim at everything from Neil Young and Nirvana to commercial radio and life in New York.
Take for instance, the lyrics to the title song:
"Well they can stomp it, they can kill it, they sell and they shill it
Rock is Dead
With the Beatles sellin' sneakers, and Madonna in your speakers
Rock is Dead
For the fucking 'Macarena to the stupid Hall-of_Fame-ah
Rock is Dead
Let's just bury rock. Nothing left to shock
We've all seen Mick's cock. And New Kids on the Block.
Come on, let's just bury rock...
Let's just bury rock.
Nothing left to shock
We've all seen Mick's cock.
And New Kids on the Block.
Come on - let's just bury rock...
Well there's Bowie who turned 60
and there's Tull who's pushin' 60 - Rock is Dead
I've got no use for the punkers
and McCartney's writing clunkers - Rock is Dead
There's a chance with baby Dylan
but he'd better sell a million or he's dead.
Rock and Roll is dead
It's MTV instead.
A beast that must be fed.
Pablum for your head.
Oh, the girls are so delicious
But it's mindless and malicious - Rock is Dead
Ah - Ah - Ah - Rock is Dead"
With the help of musicians like Mark Egan (Joan Osborn, Pat Metheny), Hiram Bullock (Tracey Chapman, Steely Dan), Danny Gottlieb (Manhattan Transfer, Pat Metheny) and Clifford Carter (James Taylor), Ken weaves a hilarious musical tapestry ranging from Neil Young and Paul Simon to the Grunge movement and rap music.
